We have so much to learn from our younger selves, from the innate sense of wonder to the ability to have fun and live simply in the moment. By being fully present and appreciating the vast and beautiful landscapes around us as if we are seeing them for the very first time, there is a uniquely human connection we make with the world we live in.

Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down... 

I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself - I am a Seattle-based business owner, wife and most proudly, mother to Bayla, my 2-year-old daughter. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and with a background in fashion accessories and stationery goods, products with a strong and positive message have always resonated with me.

With Bayla’s arrival began an exciting new chapter in my life. She has not only taught me about living in the present and appreciating this amazing and precious life but has also been a true source of inspiration for me. One of the biggest driving forces for Seaslope was having the opportunity to give back to the NICU at Swedish Hospital, which provided Bayla with the utmost care at the earliest days of her life. Since her life-saving operation when she was just one day old, she hasn’t stopped thriving and I am forever grateful for that. 

The idea of our product line evolved naturally as our daughter was born in the chilly Pacific Northwest climate. Since her arrival, it was important to me to make sure she was comfortable and cozy from head to toe, so I was always on the lookout for a cute beanie. Instinctively, I was inspired to create one that not only kept her warm, but also brought some fun and humor into her daily wardrobe.
